PostSubject: Beginner Bead Crocheter   Fri Nov 30, 2007 11:16 am

I know how to crochet and have been wanting to learn bead crocheting for years. But I just don't understand the concept. What am I stringing beads onto and how do I get the beads to the thread that I'm crocheting? Can someone explain this in simple English. I've gotten books with pics and I STILL don't get it. Thanks so much for this group.

Peggy

Hi Peggy,

I use Jean Stitch thread for most of my crocheting. You string the beads onto the thread and don't cut the thread. You start with a slip knot on the end of the thread and push the beads up to the hook as you crochet. Eventually, you have to move the beads further down the thread, but you don't cut the thread until you are finished crocheting.

Does this help?
